How do I know what size I need?
There are 3 important measurements in a piece of body jewelry:
1.- The diameter of the bar
The labret bar is the essential accessory for any top. The tops are the visible part of the piercing. There are internally threaded and non-threaded systems. Both of them need a labret bar, which is the one to which the top is attached. The labret bar is the one that goes through our piercing. So you can’t wear a top without a labret bar to attach it to. And it is important that we look at the diameter of it.
The diameter of the bar is measured in mm. On our website you will find labret bars of two diameters: 1 and 1.2 mm. The 1 mm labret bars. They will be useful for nose piercings. For ear and lip piercings, the most common diameter is 1.2 mm.
The same criterion applies to rings with a hinge closure. Most of the rings on our website are 1.2 mm. in diameter, in the area that our perforation crosses. They will serve you for any ear, lip or septum piercing. We also have some 1 mm rings. in diameter, which will be used for nose piercings (nostril).
2.- Length of the labret bar
Each body piercing goes through an area of the body with different thickness. A helix perforation, for example, that crosses an area of cartilage that can be 3 mm, is not the same. thick, than a lobe piercing, which can be 5 mm. thick. And the thickness of the area with the recent perforation is not the same as when it is already healed. The first few months you have to expect that the area will be more inflamed than normal. If your piercing is recent, you will always need a longer bar than the one you will use when it is fully healed.
The labret-type bars can have different lengths: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 mm, etc. that will adapt to each perforation. If you choose a bar that is too long, it will bother you when you sleep, for example, if it is an ear piercing, and you will have too much bar left on the back, producing an unsightly effect. And if you choose it too short, it will tighten the area too much, it will make it swell and cause pain.
To be sure that you are going to order the length you need, it is best to consult with your piercer. You can also measure a piece that you already have and that you find comfortable for that area.
3.- Inner diameter of the ring
The hoops are always measured from the inside. So all the ring measurements that you will find in our catalog correspond to the inner diameter of the pieces. The diameter of the hoop has to be adapted to your piercing.
As a general rule, small diameters (6, 7, 8 mm.) will serve you for helix, anti-helix, tragus, snug, rook… And larger diameters (11 or 12 mm.), for conch , orbital or lobe. But it is always best to consult with your piercer or measure a piece that you already have and with which you feel comfortable.

El órbital es una combinación de dos perforaciones y el diámetro del aro depende de la distancia entre las mismas. No se si te refieres a este piercing o al conch, que sí es una sola perforación. En nuestro artículo Multi piercing de oreja puedes ver la diferencia entre los dos.
Tanto si estás buscando un aro para un piercing órbital como si es para conch, lo mejor es que consultes con tu piercer. El diámetro del aro depende de la distancia de la perforación con el extremo de la oreja en el caso del conch, y de la distancia entre las dos perforaciones en el caso del órbital. También puedes hacer la prueba con otro aro que ya tengas por casa. Si no te va bien ninguna de estas dos opciones, puedes enviarnos fotos de tu perforación por correo electrónico y trataremos de orientarte.

El diámetro más habitual para septum es 10 mm. Pero depende de la morfología de cada persona y de la altura a la que tu piercer hiciera la perforación. Lo mejor es que lo consultes con él, para estar más segura.

Me gustaría saber cuál es la dimensión habitual del piercing labret de aro cerrado para quede ajustado y si el aro con bisagra es adecuado para este piercing.

El diámetro del aro para labio depende de varios factores. No es el mismo para el piercing medusa (perforación central) o para el labret lateral. Y también depende de la altura a la que te hicieron la perforación y del grueso de tu labio. Los diámetros más habituales son 8 y 10 mm. Y el aro con cierre bisagra es ideal para el piercing de labio. Pero sí es importante que escojas el diámetro adecuado. Un aro demasiado pequeño te provocaría una herida y si es demasiado grande te resultará incómodo y poco estético. Lo mejor es que consultes con el piercer que te hizo la perforación para estar segura. Y si no puedes hacerlo, la única solución es probar con algún aro que tengas por casa.

Me gustaria saber que medida usar para el pircing medusa , que largo es necesario ,lo tengo pero me esta haciendo herida y creo que es muy corto el largo.

El largo del piercing medusa depende del grueso de tu labio y de si lo tienes cicatrizado de hace tiempo o no. Lo mejor es que consultes a tu piercer para que te indique el largo que te puede ir mejor. Si el que llevas te hace herida por la parte interna, deberías optar al menos por uno de 2 mmm. más que el que llevas.

El grosor del aro es 1,2 mm. Y el diámetro dependerá de tu fisonomía. Los diámetros más habituales para piercing daith son 6 y 7 mm. si te gusta muy ajustado. Hola, Valentina! Las medidas más habituales para tragus son 1,2 x 7 y 1,2 x 8 mm. El largo de la barra dependerá del grueso de tu cartílago. Antes de hacer el pedido puedes hacer antes la prueba con algún piercing que tengas por casa y del cual sepas la medida.

Hola. Los diámetros más habituales para hélix son 8 y 9 mm. Pero depende de la distancia de la perforación al extremo del pavellón auditivo. Lo mejor es que consultes con tu piercer para saber a qué distancia te la hizo.
